On Friday, Feb. 14, former Central Catholic High School standout Caleb Menina’s current college team, the North Alabama Lions, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Army Black Knights.
The game took place at Toyota Field. This was their second matchup against the Black Knights this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. at Toyota Field against Army Black Knights.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
