On Saturday, Feb. 15, former Kaplan High School standout Kennedy Marceaux’s current college team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, won 9-5 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The game took place at Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex. This was their first matchup against the Buckeyes this season.
The Crimson Tide’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. at Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex against UCLA Bruins.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
