On Wednesday, April 9, former North Vermilion High School standout Kennedy Semien’s current college team, the Memphis Tigers, won 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Jackson State Tigers.
The game took place at Tiger Softball Complex. This was their first matchup against the Tigers this season.
The Tigers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. at Tiger Softball Complex against Charlotte 49ers.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
These former South Louisiana area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
