The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on May 11 that deputies responded to 181 complaints and made several arrests over the past four days.

This update provides information about recent law enforcement activity in the parish, detailing charges and bail amounts for each individual arrested during the reporting period.

Sheriff Gary Driskell said that Carl Joseph Singleton Jr., age 25 of Morgan City, was arrested on May 10 at 12:48 p.m. for driving under suspension, no proof of insurance, violation of a protective order, and no registration in vehicle. Bail has not been set for Singleton Jr.

Julius C. Johnson, age 41 of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested on May 9 at 8:24 p.m. for forgery, bank fraud, and monetary instrument abuse with bail set at $7,500. Jamie Lynn Lantier of Bayou Vista was taken into custody on May 10 at 11:54 a.m. based on a warrant charging simple criminal damage to property; bail is pending.

Other arrests include Joey Viltz of Franklin for assault on medical personnel (bail set at $7,500), Karla Liseth George-Colbina of Patterson for possession of cocaine (no bail set), Myles Deshon Roberson of Franklin for disturbing the peace by language as well as resisting arrest or officer and threatening a public official (bail set at $10,500), Brian Barrilleaux of Bayou L’ourse on a warrant related to possession charges (bail set at $1,350), Joseph Wayne Soileau of Bayou Vista for assault-simple and disturbing the peace-intoxicated (released on $3,000 bond), and Christine Marie Stoute also from Bayou Vista who faces theft along with drug-related charges (bail set at $5,000).
