The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on April 15 that deputies responded to 46 complaints and made three arrests during the previous 24-hour period.
These arrests included Benjamin Green, age 58 of New Iberia, who was taken into custody at 1:50 pm on a warrant for residential contractor fraud. His bail was set at $500.
Patricia Melendez, age 41 of Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:07 pm and faces several charges including misuse of the emergency line (911), criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and disturbing the peace by language. Her bail was set at $12,000.
Cesar Ortiz-Resendiz, age 32 of Amelia, was arrested at 10:58 pm for driving while intoxicated as well as charges related to driving without a license and improper lane usage. His bail was set at $11,250.
