St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell announced on April 6 that the Sheriff’s Office responded to 188 complaints over a recent four-day period and made several arrests.

The report outlines a range of charges including warrants from other agencies, drug possession, traffic violations, and resisting arrest. The cases involved individuals from various locations such as San Antonio, Patterson, Abbeville, Franklin, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Jeanerette, Morgan City, and Gonzalez.

Among those arrested was Matthew Ryan Stevenson of San Antonio who is being held for another agency due to a warrant from the Kileen Police Department in Texas. Shelby Rae Lee of Patterson was charged with violation of protective orders with bail set at $10,000. Madison Alexandra Turner of Abbeville faced charges related to driving under suspension and was released on bond.

Other notable arrests include Lilly Margaret Touchet of Franklin for obstruction of justice and drug possession; Clauderious Darby of Lafayette held on an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant; Elray David Duncan of Thibodaux held on multiple traffic-related charges; Cornell Anthony Tardy Jr. of Jeanerette facing several counts including resisting arrest; Christopher Dwaine Woods and Alejandro Valero Gutierrez both from Morgan City facing drug-related charges; Jase Kolbe Darden of Jeanerette held for another agency; Juan A. Espino charged with aggravated flight from officer among other offenses with bail set at $213,500; Vernon Donald Singleton Jr., also from Morgan City charged with driving while intoxicated and marijuana possession.

In addition to these cases handled by patrol deputies, the Narcotics Section reported the arrest of Terrion Robinson from Gonzalez for alleged speeding as well as multiple drug offenses involving schedule I and V substances along with firearm possession in connection to controlled dangerous substances (CDS). Robinson’s bail was set at $150,250.
