St. Mary Parish Sheriff reports arrests for drug possession and traffic offenses

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and made two arrests on April 6, according to a report released by Sheriff Gary Driskell on April 7.

The sheriff’s office reported that Michael Chasee Stewart, age 47 of Gray, Louisiana, was arrested at 11:49 am for possession of schedule II drugs. Bail had not been set at the time of the report.

Ethlin Joyann Simmons, age 43 of Morgan City, Louisiana, was arrested later that day at 10:37 pm on multiple charges. These included driving on a roadway laned for traffic, improper turning movements and signals, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana and methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container violation, and no insurance. Bail had not been set for Simmons as well.
