Of the 57,775 people living in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana in 2021, 51.1% (29,534) were women and 48.9% (28,241) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by South Louisiana News.

Data showed the average age for women in Vermilion Parish in 2021 was 39 years, lower than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 883. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 3,973 men and 4,870 women.
