Census Bureau: 75.8% of people in St. Martin Parish were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 52,222 citizens living in St. Martin Parish in 2021, 75.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 39,601 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 19,442 were male, constituting 49.1%, and 20,159 were female, making up 50.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in St. Martin Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
