How many people were old enough to vote in Vermilion Parish during 2021?

Of the 57,775 citizens living in Vermilion Parish in 2021, 74.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 42,960 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 20,590 were male, constituting 47.9%, and 22,370 were female, making up 52.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Vermilion Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
