On Sunday, Feb. 9, former North Vermilion High School standout Darian Duhon’s current college team, the Washburn Ichabods, won 5-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
The game took place at NSU Baseball Complex. This was their first matchup against the Sharks this season.
The Ichabods’ next game is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. at Feinbloom Field against Barry Buccaneers.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
These former South Louisiana area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
