On Sunday, March 2, former North Vermilion High School standout Darian Duhon’s current college team, the Washburn Ichabods, won 9-7 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Missouri State Lions.
The game took place at Falley Field. This was their third matchup against the Lions this season.
The Ichabods’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 at 5 p.m. at Talley Stadium against William Jewell Cardinals.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
These former South Louisiana area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
