On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Central Catholic High School standout Trent Hillen’s current college team, the Northwestern State Demons, lost 14-12 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Troy Trojans.
The game took place at Riddle Pace Field. This was their second matchup against the Trojans this season.
The Demons’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. at Riddle Pace Field against Troy Trojans.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
