On Tuesday, Feb. 18, former Central Catholic High School standout Bryce Grizzaffi’s current college team, the Lamar Cardinals, won 10-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the North Dakota State Bison.
The game took place at Vincent-Beck Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Bison this season.
The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at Vincent-Beck Stadium against North Dakota State Bison.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
