On Wednesday, April 23, former North Vermilion High School standout Darian Duhon’s current college team, the Washburn Ichabods, lost 9-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Central Missouri Mules.
The game took place at Crane Stadium at Tompkins Field. This was their third matchup against the Mules this season.
The Ichabods’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 5 p.m. at Falley Field against Newman Jets.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced two major arrests involving allegations of murder and child exploitation offenses. Authorities say both investigations required collaboration with other agencies as well as follow-up after new evidence emerged.
Drivers in St. Mary Parish reported a weekly low of $2.87 per gallon for midgrade gas in the week ending Jan. 31.
