Congratulations to our March Member of the Month:
Touchet's Bar! Give Touchet's Bar a "Like" and a "Congrats!"
Touchet's is a Cajun cultural hub that has been a staple in the community since 1962. What was once a full-service gas station has now evolved into a lively gathering spot for locals and tourists alike. Founded by Dulas Touchet, the business expanded to include a bar, barbershop, and fuel bulk plant in 1965. Today, the tradition lives on under the ownership of Dulas' son, Calvin, and now his grandson, Derek.
Touchet's is the go-to spot for anyone interested in Cajun culture. Every other Saturday, seasoned or aspiring Cajun musicians come together for jam sessions, where they can collaborate and share their passion for music. For those who prefer a little friendly competition, Monday nights are reserved for Euchre tournaments.
But that's not all - in 2000, Touchet's started the Cracklin' Cook-off, which has now become a beloved tradition with 20 or more teams competing each year. And for those who love to sing, Karaoke is now featured on alternate Saturdays. Plus, select Fridays feature live bands, adding to the lively atmosphere.
Come experience the Cajun culture and community spirit at Touchet's. Whether you're a local or just passing through, you're sure to have a great time at this unique establishment.
