There were 7,971 students enrolled in St. Mary Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.3% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.3% of them were boys, and 48.7% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among St. Mary Parish School District students was Black or African American, with 38.7% of students identifying as Black or African American.

St. Mary Parish School District covers approximately 21 schools within St. Mary Parish, with its main office in Centerville.

Among the 21 schools in St. Mary Parish School District, Morgan City High School recorded the highest enrollment of 665 students in the 2021-22 school year.
