There were 839 ninth grade students enrolled in Vermilion Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 7.7% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

North Vermilion High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Vermilion Parish schools, the most students were found in ninth grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Vermilion Parish ranked 17th highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 19th highest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
