There were 205 Asian students enrolled in Vermilion Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 7.2% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Vermilion Parish School District welcomed 9,388 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 2.2% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the district.

Vermilion Parish School District roughly covers schools within Vermilion Parish and has a main office in Abbeville.

Among the 21 schools in Vermilion Parish School District, Abbeville High School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 41 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
