There were 388 Hispanic students enrolled in Vermilion Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2.4% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Vermilion Parish School District welcomed 9,388 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 4.1% of the student body to be the third least represented ethnicity in the district.

Among the 21 schools in Vermilion Parish School District, Cecil Picard Elementary School at Maurice recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 42 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.
